June 29 – Sept 1, 2019 Sat & Sun | 10:30 am – 6:00 pm
Discover the history of the bison and the Beaver Hills area as you explore the federally protected heritage barn at Elk Island National Park. Constructed in 1938, this barn housed horses that were used by Parks Canada Wardens to patrol remote areas of the park and to herd bison.
Come follow on a guided tour through the barn, search for artifacts in a mock archaeological dig, or take a bison backstage tour!
Regular park admission applies.
