Southfort Meadows Land Use Bylaw Amendment and Redistricting
(Bylaw C1-23)
Al-Terra Engineering Ltd. on behalf of Southfort Development Corp. applied to amend the Land Use Bylaw to: add a DC(A)-21 - Innovative Street Oriented Medium Density Housing With Suites District, revise the existing definition of semi-detached housing, add a new definition for ‘semi-detached suites’, and redistrict 0.49 ha (1.21 acres) of lands in Southfort Meadows from:

UR – Urban Reserve District to DC(A)-21 – Innovative Street Oriented Medium Density Housing with Suites
The purpose of this district is to provide a new medium density housing type along Greenfield Link across from a stormwater management facility. This district would allow for semi-detached housing that has rear attached garages off a lane with semi-detached suites. These lots would not have rear yards and front yards would accommodate porches facing the street. Additional architectural regulations will ensure higher design standards and street appeal.
